Components
Aluminium pump bodies, housings and volute covers
Pump bodies, volute and pump covers, housings, filter caps and fittings for pump, compressor and fluid-handling manufacturers. Where a part must hold pressure, the process, alloy and metal treatment are chosen around that requirement.

Parts shown were made on our lines. Tooling and drawings belong to our customers, so part numbers and customer names are not shown. See all 51 components →
Process, alloys and envelope
How these parts are usually made
Typical routes for this family. The right process, alloy and limits for your part are confirmed at engineering review.
| Process | Alloys commonly used | Indicative envelope | Typically chosen for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gravity die casting | LM25, LM6, LM13 | 200 g – 25 kg; walls 3 – 15 mm | Pressure-tight bodies and denser sections |
| High pressure die casting | ADC12, LM24 | 20 g – 15 kg; walls from 1.2 mm | Covers and smaller housings at volume |
Indicative ranges, not guaranteed values for every geometry. Customer-specific alloys can be arranged on request.
Critical features
What matters on these parts, and how we check it
Gravity casting for dense sections, rotary degassing with density index checks and in-house X-ray. Leak testing is arranged through a specialist partner; vacuum impregnation is planned, not yet available.
Machined in-house with multi-head drilling and tapping, then checked by air gauging.
Core and gating reviewed at design stage so internal surfaces are consistent from part to part.
Batch traceability from melt to dispatch, so a field issue can be traced back to the metal and process records.
To quote this part
What helps us quote accurately
- Drawing or 3D model, with pressure-tight areas marked
- Working and test pressure, and test medium
- Annual quantity
- Alloy, if specified
- Port thread and sealing face requirements
No final drawing yet? A description is enough to start a technical conversation. Ask for an NDA before sharing sensitive files.
Buyer questions
Common questions
Can you test castings for leaks?
Leak testing is arranged through a specialist partner where the drawing calls for it. Tell us the test pressure and medium at enquiry so we can quote the right route.
Do you offer vacuum impregnation?
Not yet. It is planned. Today we control porosity through gravity casting, degassing, density index checks and X-ray.
Gravity or HPDC for a pump body?
Pressure-tight bodies with thicker sections usually suit gravity casting; thinner covers at volume usually suit HPDC. We confirm the route at quotation.
