Looking ahead
Ready to contribute to India’s defence manufacturing
Defence is a direction we are preparing for, not a market we supply today. We want to contribute in the way we know best: aluminium castings made with disciplined process control, complete traceability and documentation that stands up to inspection.
Why this matters to us
India is building more of its own defence equipment. We would like Alcast to be part of that supply chain, and we intend to earn the place step by step, on the strength of our engineering.
Where we stand today
We do not yet supply defence customers or hold defence-specific vendor registrations. What we bring is an ISO 9001:2015 certified aluminium casting plant, IATF 16949 certification targeted for March 2027, melt-level traceability, in-house X-ray and machining, and a team ready to work to defence documentation and inspection requirements.
Where we could contribute
Parts that suit our process today
Non-sensitive aluminium components within our current envelope: HPDC from 80 to 1,250 t and gravity castings up to 25 kg.
Die cast boxes, lids and trays with machined sealing faces, and powder coating through a long-standing partner. We already make instrumentation and control enclosures for industrial customers.
Motor, pump and gearbox housings for support equipment, where our existing industrial work applies directly.
Covers, brackets and housings for military and support vehicles, through vehicle manufacturers and their Tier-1 suppliers.
Aluminium cast items on the Ministry of Defence indigenisation lists and the SRIJAN portal that match our process and size range.
How we are preparing
The steps we are taking
Who we would like to hear from
- Defence PSUs and their indigenisation teams
- Private defence manufacturers and system integrators
- Tier-1 suppliers to defence vehicle and electronics programmes
Share the part, the drawing or the SRIJAN listing. We will tell you honestly whether it fits our process today, what qualification it would need and how long that would take. Drawings are handled under NDA, and we never publish a customer’s name.
