For US buyers
Aluminum die castings for US manufacturers, made in India
A380 and 383 die castings, machined, finished and PPAP-documented in one plant, with a US phone and WhatsApp line. We quote clearly so you can calculate your true landed cost.
Why work with Alcast
One supplier from casting to finished part
Alcast has made aluminum die castings in Satara, Maharashtra, since 2009, and some customer relationships have run for more than 15 years. We cast, trim, machine, finish and inspect under one roof across four operational units, so you deal with one supplier and one quality system from raw casting to a ready-to-fit part.
For US buyers we cast to ASTM B85 alloys such as A380 and 383, document new parts to AIAG PPAP, and show dimensions in inches on request. Our largest HPDC machine makes castings up to 15+ kg, and gravity castings go beyond 20 kg.
Duties and landed cost
What to check before you compare prices
We would rather you know the full cost before tooling starts than discover it at the port.
Section 232 duties on aluminum
Many aluminum articles and derivative products are subject to Section 232 duties, which since April 2026 are assessed on the full customs value. Rates depend on the product and can change.
Confirm your HTS code and the current rate with your customs broker before you compare offers.
Country of smelt and cast
US importers must report the countries where the aluminum in derivative products was smelted and cast.
Tell us at order stage and we will work with our alloy ingot suppliers to provide the smelt and cast information for your entry.
Parts with real value added
Duties weigh most on simple, metal-heavy parts. India is most competitive on castings that also need machining, finishing, assembly and documentation, where engineering time is a large share of the price.
We quote ex works and help you build a landed-cost comparison.
How an export order runs
From your drawing to your dock
A realistic plan for a new part. Repeat orders only need the production and freight steps.
- Enquiry and DFM review
Send a drawing and annual volume. We reply within 24 hours with a quotation or the questions we need answered first.
- Tooling
Typically 6 to 10 weeks from a signed-off 3D model, depending on die size and complexity; some simpler tools take 2 to 4 weeks. Your tooling remains your property.
- Samples by air
T0 trial, dimensional layout and first article inspection. Samples reach you by air in about a week.
- Approval
Your sign-off, plus PPAP, ISIR or FAI as your industry requires.
- Production and dispatch
Series production with 100% visual inspection and air gauging of critical dimensions, then export packing.
- Sea freight
From Nhava Sheva (JNPT) to US ports such as New York/New Jersey, Savannah or Houston. Typically four to six weeks to the East Coast, depending on routing.
Shipping times depend on routing and season. We confirm current transit times with your forwarder, or ours, when we plan the first shipment.
