For European buyers

Aluminium die castings for European manufacturers, made in India

EN AC alloys, high pressure and gravity die casting, machining and finishing from one ISO 9001 plant. Built for buyers who need a second source outside their region, with the paperwork EU imports now require.

Why work with Alcast

One supplier from casting to finished part

80–1,250 tHPDC machine range, 7 machines
ISO 9001:2015Certified quality system
6–10 weeksTypical tooling lead time
24 hoursReply to every enquiry

Alcast has made aluminium die castings in Satara, Maharashtra, since 2009, and some customer relationships have run for more than 15 years. We cast, trim, machine, finish and inspect under one roof across four operational units, so you deal with one supplier and one quality system from raw casting to a ready-to-fit part.

For European buyers we work to EN 1706 alloy designations such as EN AC-46000 and EN AC-46500, ISO 8062-3 casting tolerances and measurement at the 20 °C reference temperature, and we can prepare initial samples with an ISIR when your process calls for one.

What European importers need to know

EU CBAM and the India–EU trade agreement

Since 1 January 2026

EU carbon border adjustment (CBAM)

EU CBAM covers aluminium goods by CN code, including heading 7616, other articles of aluminium. Importers above 50 tonnes of CBAM goods a year need authorised declarant status and must report embedded emissions.

We will work with you or your adviser to provide production data, so you are not forced onto default values. Read our CBAM guide.

Concluded January 2026

India–EU trade agreement

India and the EU concluded negotiations on a free trade agreement in January 2026. It is going through ratification and is not yet in force, so standard EU duty rates apply until it is.

When it enters into force, we will help you claim any preferential rate it offers.

Your commodity code decides

Duty and scope

Duty rates and CBAM scope both depend on classification. A casting declared as a part of a machine may fall under a different code from a general aluminium article.

Confirm the code for each part with your customs broker before comparing landed costs.

How an export order runs

From your drawing to your dock

A realistic plan for a new part. Repeat orders only need the production and freight steps.

  1. Enquiry and DFM review

Send a drawing and annual volume. We reply within 24 hours with a quotation or the questions we need answered first.

  2. Tooling

Typically 6 to 10 weeks from a signed-off 3D model, depending on die size and complexity; some simpler tools take 2 to 4 weeks. Your tooling remains your property.

  3. Samples by air

T0 trial, dimensional layout and first article inspection. Samples reach you by air in about a week.

  4. Approval

Your sign-off, plus PPAP, ISIR or FAI as your industry requires.

  5. Production and dispatch

Series production with 100% visual inspection and air gauging of critical dimensions, then export packing.

  6. Sea freight

From Nhava Sheva (JNPT) to European ports such as Rotterdam, Antwerp or Hamburg. Typically four to six weeks port to port; routing changes can add one to two weeks.

Shipping times depend on routing and season. We confirm current transit times with your forwarder, or ours, when we plan the first shipment.
