How these parts are usually made

Typical routes for this family. The right process, alloy and limits for your part are confirmed at engineering review.

Critical features

What matters on these parts, and how we check it

Thin, deep fins

HPDC holds walls from 1.2 mm, with draft and fin pitch reviewed at design review to protect die life.

Thermal performance

Alloy chosen to balance castability and thermal conductivity (for example ADC12 or LM6), agreed at quotation.

Gasket faces for sealed fittings

Flatness controlled, with machining where the drawing requires it.

Outdoor finish

Powder coating through a long-standing partner, so housings arrive as finished parts.

To quote this part

What helps us quote accurately

  • Drawing or 3D model, with fin geometry
  • Required sealing rating and gasket faces, if any
  • Finish and colour
  • Annual quantity and variants
  • Alloy, if specified

No final drawing yet? A description is enough to start a technical conversation. Ask for an NDA before sharing sensitive files.

Buyer questions

Common questions

Can heat sink fins be cast to shape?

Usually yes on HPDC. Fin thickness, height and draft are reviewed at design review; we suggest changes where a fin would shorten die life or fill poorly.

Which alloy is best for heat transfer?

There is a trade-off between castability and thermal conductivity. We discuss the options for your housing at quotation rather than promise a single value.

Do you deliver coated housings?

Yes, powder coated through a long-standing finishing partner.
